Main Purpose

The CBM Specialist will be responsible for analysing tendencies obtained through predictive maintenance techniques, and produces reports of preventive and corrective maintenance requirements to assure a reliable operation of the equipment and guarantee optimum production levels

Duties

Accountability for personal safety and raising the standard of safety within the maintenance function

Acquire data and information of the dynamic, thermal and operational performance of the equipment from the different assets through the utilisation of specialised tools.

Promote Good Practise, with regard to techniques described above.

Promote the use of Condition Monitoring Techniques within the assets and help embed CBM as part of the common maintenance strategy.

Effectively process acquired condition monitoring information utilising specific software and make recommendations for improvement.

Analyse the information through the comparison of parameters, international standards and tendencies.

Report the operational, dynamic and overall condition of the equipment emphasizing on identified abnormalities and preventive actions required to be performed by specific discipline areas.

Address disciplinary issues with the Condition Monitoring Technicians.

Complete the performance appraisal, both interim and annual, for the Condition Monitoring Technicians.

Perform all other related job functions as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from a reputable University

Condition monitoring related certification in any area would be considered a valuable asset

A minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar position
