Perform or manage structural design work scope in accordance with
industry standards.
Perform or review structural analyses for jackets and topsides using
SACS software.
Prepare design briefs of work to be performed, and design reports for
work completed
Technical supervision and training of junior engineers.
Technical supervision of structural designers and draftsmen.
Visit fabrication yard or offshore platforms for information gathering
or review of construction in progress.
Prepare weekly structural progress reports on a project specific
basis.
Assist in preparation of structural discipline man-hour estimates to
perform project tasks.
Maintain good working relationship with client and contractor
representatives
Maintain inter-discipline communication and perform inter-discipline
checks as required.
Maintain communication within structural group.
Identify new technology advancements against existing design standards
and update work practices where applicable.
Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives.
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and
guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.
